Alright, I'll guess Dec 22, but hopefully we will all be wrong and nobody falls through.

Yeah. There was an obvious downside to guessing the right date. Sort of win /lose or even " win / lose real big "

My hubby and I walked to Long Island from the foot of Wood Duck Rd yesterday, then got the sled to bring over our supplies. The ice is plenty thick. I wouldn't trust it on the other side of the island but travelling to Cow and Long Island from the North shore is fine for anyone intersted in coming over for the holidays (barring any warm up of course).

I am currently out in Nova Scotia for the holidays.
Let me tell you, what a difference a few provinces makes. I has been raining for 3 days now. always about +3oC, and no snow at all.

not very typical of out here, but a nice break from the cold snow.

I will make sure to snap some pics when i get back.

Sorry I had to leave for a few days, but we came back last night. I'll see what I can do about uploading some photos soon, but at the moment I don't have the cord to go from my phone to the computer! In the meantime, Lars posted some on the other site. Here's the link... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
