Power is BACK

Finally. After 4 days, we have power again.
went off 9:30 on Thursday, and was finally back on around 3pm Sunday.

We lost everything in the fridge and freezer though

We're still out on Long Island. Hydro One is saying it maybe back by 10pm tonight. We broke down and bought a generator on Saturday so no lost food

Yay!! Power returned last night!! Woohoo

NICE! YAY!

We were only 36 hrs. down. Threw out some food but it was like a cull that should have been done anyway

by the sound of it, bewdley got lucky.....i left for work at noon on thursday with no power but when i got home at midnight everything was back on

Does anyone know if Hydro One or any website that I could set up an alert when power was down ?

I suspect there was a power down long enough causing my water pump and faucet in the kitchen to just freeze up, then the power was back up again. Hence my water pump and one side of the faucet were dripping when I turned it on this spring.

I bought a new water pump and all fittings from Rona and installed it, wow, the new pump was much quieter than the old one. Called Moen and have the cartridge mailed to me and replaced it.
